Finding specialized pain care closer to home can make taking the next step feel more manageable. Synergex Med is expanding access in Riverside County with two new Pain Management locations in Hemet and Lake Elsinore.

At both offices, patients meet with Dr. Roy Kim in person. Care begins with a comprehensive evaluation, followed by an individualized written care plan built around the patient’s diagnosis, needs, and goals.

Meet Dr. Roy Kim

Dr. Roy Kim is dual board certified in anesthesiology and interventional pain management, with residency training at Johns Hopkins Hospital and a fellowship at UCSF.

He is now seeing patients in person at Synergex Med’s Hemet and Lake Elsinore locations, providing a local option for patients throughout the surrounding Inland Empire.

For someone whose pain has become part of their daily routine, an appointment offers an opportunity to discuss what has changed, what remains difficult, and what they want to get back to doing.

In-Person Care That Starts With Your Story

Living with pain can mean making adjustments throughout the day. You may change how you sit, avoid certain movements, or struggle to find a comfortable sleeping position.

Those details matter during an evaluation.

At the Hemet and Lake Elsinore offices, Dr. Kim meets with patients face to face to discuss how their pain started, how it feels, and how it affects daily activities.

A comprehensive evaluation considers the patient’s symptoms, medical history, and relevant clinical findings. The purpose is to better understand what may be contributing to the pain before recommending a treatment approach.

A Written Care Plan Built Around You

Two people can experience similar symptoms and still have different needs.

That is why treatment recommendations should follow the evaluation and reflect the individual diagnosis, limitations, and goals.

At Synergex Med Pain Management, patients receive an individualized written care plan, reviewed with them so they can understand the recommended next steps.

The plan provides an opportunity to discuss:

  • What the evaluation suggests about the source of pain.
  • Which treatment options may be appropriate.
  • How recommendations relate to the patient’s goals.
  • What the next steps in care involve.

An evaluation does not automatically mean a procedure is needed. Recommendations depend on the individual clinical picture.

The Goal Includes Getting Back to Daily Life

Less pain matters. So does what a person is able to do throughout the day.

For one patient, the priority may be sitting through work more comfortably. For another, it may be sleeping with fewer interruptions, participating in rehabilitation, or returning to activities they have put on hold.

These goals help shape the care plan.

When appropriate, a procedure may be one part of a broader approach intended to reduce pain and support participation in movement, rehabilitation, and recovery.

Progress is individual. Discussing functional goals gives the patient and care team a clearer understanding of what they are working toward.
